You're right, every voice has its limits, and believe me, you can really train this and expand your range!

You can compare our vocal cords to two rubber bands. The longer our vocal cords are stretched, the higher we can sing. Very often singers use their voice in a certain way, but they don't learn how to make those stretches even longer (and thus increase their range).

The solution? Singing vocal exercises that are specifically made to stretch those “rubber bands” (or: your vocal cords). This way you train your vocal muscles to make your vocal cords vibrate in a new way and you can expand your range (hello high diva notes!)

You're right! There are thousands of tutorials on learning how to sing on YouTube. And if you could learn everything that you need to become a great singer on Youtube , you wouldn't be sitting here, right? Because  then  all your "singing struggles" would already be solved and you wouldn't be here reading about this training.

The danger with Youtube is that everyone can post whatever they want on there. And as you might know, there are different methodologies to learn how to sing. You have the classical singing techniques, you have the CVT teaching method, Speech Level Singing, etc. On Youtube all these different methodologies come together, they use different terms for the same things and sometimes even contradict each other. I don't need to tell you that all of this can be very confusing.

By working with a clear step-by-step plan, you know exactly what you need to focus on, what exercises to sing to train those vocal muscles. Once you have this foundation and experience, then you can dive deeper into the different methodologies that you might find online.
